Good version | 10:00.
See IMDB.
See also Gospel of Matthew.
- Film Books
Books on film
that yours truly thinks are good:
- Douglas Garrett Winston 1973,
The Screenplay As Literature, 240 pages:
See also
UNLV library copy:
PN1996 .W555 1973.
Apparently seminal, but dated.
It seems to be more of an interesting ramble, than a treatment of its topic:
the screenplay as
literature.
- Steven Price 2013,
A History of the Screenplay, 278 pages:
See also
UNLV library copy:
PN1996 .P85 2013.
Scholarly. Not ponderous. Good read.
- Steven Price 2010,
The Screenplay: Authorship, Theory, Criticism, 209 pages:
See also
UNLV library copy:
PN1996 .P75 2010.
Good points:
- The screenplay as
poetry, p. 33.
- Alfred Hitchcock (1899--1980), p. 74--93.
Yes, he was an auteur.
- Dialogue, p. 135--166.
- Dialogue is redundant with
seeing people speak, p. 135. Therefore the
voice-over is
pure cinema.
