The period at the equator is 25 days (implying relatively fast angular rotation) and near the poles 36 days (implying relatively slow angular rotation). Yours truly will NOT attest to the accuracy of this videos. Short enough for the classroom.
4. Ever Seen a Tsunami on the Sun? Or active sunspot? | 2:41: Jump to the first "tsunami" at 0:20. It was set off by a solar flare starting from a Sun - Differentional rotation of plasma | 4:57: Mostly on magnetic field effects. Good animations. Yours truly will NOT attest to the accuracy of this. Too long classroom.
