Angular Velocity

    Caption: Angular velocity illustrated.

As the diagram shows, if angular velocity is a constant, then the angular velocity just equals any change in angle divided by the corresponding change in time:

           Δθ
           -- = angular velocity ,
           Δt

where the upper-case Greek letter Δ (delta) means change in and the lower-case Greek letter θ (theta) is the usual symbol for angle.
