This summer I will be
participating in the REU program this time under the direction of
Dr. Lepp. The plan so far is to develop a few java applets that
will model real world physics problems that are difficult if not
impossible to handle analytically. We are thinking about a chaotic
pendulum problem that can be extended to model an infinite pendulum
system ie.. a real rope. As the project develops I will be putting
the applets on this webpage. Update: Here is the applet and the source
