Mythological Cosmology

1. All ancient societies probably had a mythical cosmology or religious cosmology---which are much the same thing since myths are usually sacred stories to one degree or another.

2. Many of them may have had a flat Earth and dome of the sky across which the astronomical objects traveled daily.

   When not in the sky, the astronomical objects were traveling in the underworld.

3. The mythical cosmology yours truly knows best is that of Greek mythology which is best described by Hesiod (circa late 8th century BCE).
