Criteria for Success:
- Really and truly, the most important criterion for success is having achieved

Student Learning Outcomes
listed above.
Grades are important, but it's what you learn in a class which is most important for the classes to come and the
rest of your life.
- That said, to get acceptable/good/great grades, pass the
multiple-choice-question exams---know
those answers.
There are other marked items as detailed below, but the tests are the main ingredient in the
final grade.
There is absolutely NO extra credit
and NO retakes---there are makeups.
- If you need a specific grade for some particular thing
(e.g., your major, a grant, a scholarship, etc.),
don't undershoot.
Don't imagine you can fine tune your effort just to get that specific grade.
