Spectral types illustrated

    Caption: A cartoon of stars illustrating the OBAFGKM spectral type sequence by a set of main-sequence stars that are accurately to-scale (one supposes) and in true-color (but probably only suggestively).

    Note that post-main-sequence stars of the OBAFGKM spectral type sequence do NOT have unique sizes and are usually much larger: they are subgiants, giants, bright giants, supergiants, and hypergiants.

    The OBAFGKM spectral types are mnemonicked by "O be a fine girl/guy kiss me."
