In my youth,
I despised all authority---and
I've been punished for it by having
been turned into an authority myself.
----Einstein, quoted from memory.
Like a lot of folks, the
Lonely Mountain
probably said roughly the same thing several times,
and probably mostly in German
which requires a translation,
and so
this quote probably appears in different versions.
Einstein was a very quotable
person, but, in fact, many quotes attributed to him seem to be misquotes or evern made up.

Is yours truly's
quote a fiction.
Yours truly read something like it somewhere, but it's
NOT at
Wikiquote:
Albert Einstein (1879--1955).
Maybe Einstein would agree with it
even if he didn't say it.
