In a metaphorical way, our pre-inflation-era pocket universe was the acorn from which our modern pocket universe grew inside the multiverse posited by the eternal inflation paradigm.

Of course, a pocket universe probably CANNOT be considered an organism since it does NOT contain a recipe for the reproduction itself---and anyway that view is pantheism---which is the worst.
