Constellation videos (i.e., Constellation videos):
1. Constellations of the zodiac | 1:45: The zodiac constellations on the celestial sphere. The double-triangle is the projection of the Sun on the ecliptic (mostly level in the video) from the point of view of the Earth. The Sun (or, if you like, its projection) crosses the celestial equator at the equinoxes (tilted in the video) going above the celestial equator at the vernal equinox (c.Mar21) when the Sun is in Pisces and going below the celestial equator at the fall equinox (c.Sep21) when the Sun is in Virgo. Show the video and add narration. Short enough for the classroom.
2. Stars And Constellations | 3:11: A contribution from Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) on constellation folklore---with a remarkably ealy possible date for the assignment of constellation Taurus: to the Neolithic before 15,000 BP at 0:25 mark. Too long for the classroom.
3. Carl Sagan's Cosmos - Constellations | 3:57: Carl Sagan (1934--1996) on the constellations. Good, but too long for the classroom.
4. Types of Constellations: Circumpolar, Zodiacal, Seasonl | 8:38: See zodiac constellations and circumpolar constellations. Good, but it confuses zodiac constellations and zodiac signs which are NOT the same thing. Too long for the classroom.
5. The constellations | 12:11: Just runs through the IAU 88 constellations. Restful/boring. Too long for the classroom.
