Associate Professor

Physics and Astronomy Department

University of Nevada, Las Vegas

My research group focuses on fundamental  astrophysical problems.

Current research interest includes:

  1. Accretion process in astrophysical disks around black holes, compact objects, young stars and planets

  2. Planet formation and detection in protoplanetary disks

  3. Astrophysical fluid hydrodynamics and  magnetohydrodynamics (MHD)

We use large scale MHD numerical simulations to understand the dynamical processes and Monte-Carlo radiative transfer simulations to be compared with observations.
