Exercise “eye”, chapter 40: Mirrors and Lenses

The outer Surface of the human eye, the cornea (radius of curvature 0.78 cm), separates the inner part of the eye (neye = 1.34) from the air outside (nair = 1.00). A human eye is typically 2.30 cm long (distance cornea-retina). Determine at which position with respect to the retina the image of an object at infinite object distance o will form. Neglect the presence of the lens, i. e. consider only refraction by the cornea.
