The San Francisco Bay Queer Contra Dance is hosting its first dance camp in the lush redwood forests of Monte Toyon in Aptos, California – and, of course, EVERYONE is welcome!  Just 79 miles south of San Francisco, join us for a weekend of gender-role-free dancing, which means you can dance whichever role you want with whomever you want.

Our talented talent includes Boston’s legendary Contra caller Chris Ricciotti, Oakland’s effervescent Dean Allemang leading English, and, from Seattle, the red-hot band Bag o’ Tricks.  The weekend will also include special workshops and guest talent along with a convivial Victorian afternoon tea.  While many of our dancers are from the gay community, we cheerfully welcome our straight friends, families, and supporters.  Plan on 2 1/2 days of friendly people and Contra Dance euphoria!  Some scholarships and work/exchange positions available.
