The Workshop will have singing instruction as well as
dancing. Learn old traditional Macedonian songs in one, two and three
voices (sheet of notes and words for the songs will be provided). Then
learn the accompanying dance, so participants can sing and dance in same
time. A total of 4 to 5 songs will be taught, in 7/8,
9/8,5/8.....rythm. An easy dance very famous in Macedonia, to the
music of "Maleshevkata" will also be taught.

A group of swing dancers gets together every Friday of the
month (except the first one) at the Aruba Hotel and Spa in Las Vegas.
There's a free lesson for beginners at 8 p.m., with

donations will be accepted. On Sundays, the group has lessons.
Intermediate starts at 6:30 and beginner's at 7:30. Cost is $5 a class or
$8 for both classes.

done or perhaps thought you couldn’t do. His easy manner makes the most complex
dances flow. Arizona’s Deb Comly and Claire Zucker bring their
calling expertise. Three bands :Tucson’s Privy Tippers , Tucson’s
Round the House and Flagstaff’s Updraft will make the dancing dazzle.
The first dance on Friday begins at 8pm and the last dance on Sunday ends at
6pm.

The San Francisco Bay Queer Contra Dance
is hosting its first dance camp in the lush redwood forests of Monte Toyon
in Aptos, California – and, of course, EVERYONE is
welcome! Just 79 miles south of San Francisco, join us for a
weekend of gender-role-free dancing, which means you can dance whichever role
you want with whomever you want.
Our talented talent includes Boston’s legendary Contra
caller Chris Ricciotti, Oakland’s effervescent Dean Allemang leading English,
and, from Seattle, the red-hot band Bag o’ Tricks. The weekend will also
include special workshops and guest talent along with a convivial Victorian
afternoon tea. While many of our dancers are from the gay community, we
cheerfully welcome our straight friends, families, and supporters. Plan on
