April 28 Barn Dance

Charleston Heights Arts Center

After waltzing the afternoon away, enjoy Contra Dance with Caller Peggy Hesley from Phoenix, Arizona. Peggy returns to Las Vegas after gracing us with her calling savvy at the March, 2006 dance.

Old Time Barn Dance at the Charleston Heights Arts Center:  A lively evening of contra dancing, with mixers, waltzes, and other dances thrown in for variety. The local band, "112, and Then Some," will provide snappy fiddlin' music (at the tempo of at least 112). If you moved here from another community, come enjoy the lively music, cameraderie, and laughter, and get your dancing fix! We encourage first-timers to attend the 1/2 hour lesson starting at 6:30 pm. It is designed to give newcomers a basic primer on contra dance, and help the dance flow more smoothly throughout the evening.
