It's the end of the month, again, and = that means an=20 evening of dancing as the summer finally cools off.  So, start the = fall=20 season with an evening of lively stepping, and good dancing music from a = LIVE=20 band!
 
 
September 30 =20 (Saturday):  Old Time Barn Dance at the Charleston Heights = Arts=20 Center
 
Join us for a lively evening of = contra=20 dancing, with mixers, waltzes, and other dances thrown in for = variety. =20 The local band, "112, and Then Some", will provide = snappy=20 fiddlin' music (at a tempo of at least 112).  If=20 you have moved here from another dance community, do come out and = enjoy the=20 lively music, the camaraderie, and the laughter, and to get your dancing = fix!  We encourage any first-timers to attend the 1/2 hour lesson = that=20 starts at 6:30 pm, as it is designed to give newcomers a basic = primer on=20 what constitutes a contra dance, and help the dance flow more smoothly=20 throughout the evening.

Directions:  CHAC is one = block west=20 of Arizona Charlies, and 2 blocks northwest of the intersection of W. = Charleston=20 Blvd. and Decatur Blvd. From Highway 95, take the Decatur exit, go south = on=20 Decatur for 4 stoplights, and turn right on Evergreen St.  This is = the=20 street between the Arizona Charlie's Casino and their parking lot to the = south.  Go west on Evergreen, and at the first stop sign, turn left = onto=20 Brush St.  CHAC is the 2nd building on the = right.

        The=20 last Saturday of the month.  (NOTE change from 4th Saturday to the = last=20 Saturday, from September 2006 to August 2007).  Future = dances: =20 October 28 (Halloween dance), November 25 (Thanksgiving Potluck), no = December=20 dance.
