The = Barn Dance=20 has snuck up early this month, as today is the 4th Saturday of the = month. =20 Come all, and bring your friends, to the coolness of CHAC.  The band will = be a=20 repeat of the Blue Diamond group (almost), which sounded so-o-o = good.  They=20 have been working on a theme for the month, and is ready to=20 entertain the dancers.  Remember, if you are bringing=20 friends who have not previously danced, try to have them attend the = lesson=20 at 6:30 pm.

Location:  Charleston Heights Arts=20 Center, 800 S. Brush Street, Las Vegas

Time:  Contra dance = instruction at 6:30=20 pm, dancing from 7 to 10 pm. 

Cost:  General admission:$6; = members of=20 SNOCD:$5; students and active military: $3.  

Music:  Live fiddlin' music by = 112, and Then Some (Kay, Dave, Curt, Barbara, and = Vera on=20 bass!)

Directions:  CHAC is one block west of = Arizona=20 Charlies, and 2 blocks northwest of the intersection of W. Charleston = Blvd. and=20 Decatur Blvd. From Highway 95, take the Decatur exit, go south on = Decatur for 4=20 stoplights, and turn right on Evergreen St.  This is the street = between the=20 Arizona Charlie's Casino and their parking lot to the south.  Go = west on=20 Evergreen, and at the first stop sign, turn left onto Brush St.  = CHAC is=20 the 2nd building on the = right.

Also, = there=20 is photographpy exhibit at Charleston Heights about wild horses in = the=20 Great Basin.  Before the barn dance, at 4 pm today, the artist = / oral=20 historian that made the photos will be here (at CHAC) from Spokane, = WA will=20 present a free lecture about her work and other guest speakers from the = National=20 Wild Horse Association will discuss other wild horse issues.  = A=20 reception will follow.
