Saturday night:  = Old Time=20 Barn Dance, also at Charleston Heights Arts Center - we may have a guest = caller=20 from Canada for a couple of dances - someone who is visiting Las Vegas = on=20 vacation......
Sunday night: Israeli = dancing,=20 3644 N. Rancho Drive, Ste. 102
 
All the above start at 6:30 pm., except = Israeli,=20 which starts at 6 pm.

The first weekend of April is = THE WEEKEND=20 to hang out in Pahrump:

Starkhafn's=20 Incipient Canton de la Tour Rouge invites you to attend two days of = workshops=20 April 2nd and 3rd.

The first day's workshop will feature = Scottish=20 Country Dancing taught by Countess Elasaid ni=20 Clurichann. (She's an excellent dance instructor!! - NB)=20  Dance instruction will begins at 10 AM.  There will be a = break=20 for lunch from 1-3, followed by dancing until sunset.  The location = is=20 Honeysuckle Park Pavilion.  To reach Honeysuckle Park, take hwy 160 = to=20 Pahrump.  At the first light, turn left onto Hwy 372.  Turn = left again=20 at the Big O tire store on Pahrump Valley Boulevard.  The park is = on the=20 left side of the road, turn left on Honeysuckle Street for=20 parking.

Sunday's workshop features Medieval Equestrian = Games.  If=20 you are interested in SCA equestrian activities, this is the place to = come see=20 them.  SCA Equestrian Marshals Anastasia of Borkenholt and=20 Torfastr
Varinnson will be showing new horses and riders the games = played in=20 Caid.  People with horses are welcome, but even without you can=20 participate.  Ground crew and lists officials will learn basic=20 horse
safety, SCA guidelines, and how to run a tournament.  = Anyone under=20 the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent the entire time they are = working=20 with horses.  The activities will begin at 8 AM.  There will = be
an=20 hour for lunch from 12 to 1, and a mock tournament at 2.  The site = for=20 Sunday is McCullough Arena, a rodeo arena with plenty of trailer = parking. =20 To reach the arena from Las Vegas, take Hwy 160 to Pahrump.
Turn left = at the=20 second light onto Basin Road.  The arena is on the right just past = the=20 tennis courts.

Society rules will be followed and standard SCA = waivers=20 will be used for

   The First Annual = "Phoenix=20 Spring Frolic Contra Dance", featuring International Caller Kathy = Anderson with=20 music by Tucson's Privy Tippers, will take place on April 23, 2005 at = the=20 Kenilworth School from 7:00 =96 10:30 p.m.. This dance will be a great = time to try=20 out some festive dance wear such as decorated = dance=20 shoes, fun hats, a cool=20 vest, a colorful feathery boa =97 = you get the=20 idea! The ticket prices will be $12.00 per dancer before April 17th and = $14.00=20 per dancer after April 17th.
