Sitar player Sandip Thanki will perform on =
Friday February=20
18 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Lloyd George U.S. Courthouse, located at =
333 Las=20
Vegas Boulevard South. Indian classical =
music, which=20

down the=20

disciple. Thanki, who began his musical =
training in=20
his native India, moved to Philadelphia in 1994. There he studied with =
sitar=20
maestro Ustaad Shafaatullah Khan, with whom he continues to tour. For =
the=20
courthouse performance, he is accompanied by his wife Tejal on the =
tanpura, a=20

The courthouse is the site of the Downtown Cultural Series, =
presented on=20
the third Friday of each month by the Cultural Affairs Division of the =
City of=20
