Note: The tentative plan is to cover about a chapter per week usually omitting starred sections (which are officially optional). Also tentatively there will be a weekly homework and 3 in-class tests. There will be a comprehensive final. There is also a term paper to be written of order 10 pages single-spaced, tentatively due November 6.
