1) From sonneborn%fornax.DECNET@cfa.HARVARD.EDU Mon Apr 5 18:01:12 1993 Subject: SN 1993J DATA Status: RO David, I just send you 4 SWP low dispersion spectra. I owe you several LWP also. The problem with the earlier files has been fixed. I am also sending you a copy of the observing log; please let me know which spectra you have and which you don't (note that I don't yet have copies of Vilspa data after April 1), and, yes, the log does not say which image was acquired at which station. Maybe it would be simpler to tell me which images you DO have, and I will fill in the blanks as they are available. George 2) From sonneborn%fornax.DECNET@cfa.harvard.edu Mon Apr 12 10:44:19 1993 Subject: SN spectra Status: R David, I will send you some more ascii files later today. I also have a tape of the US and Vilspa observations which I will put in the mail. The observations go through May 18, but I have not finished reducing the data after April 30. The LWP exposures with expo times longer than about 45-60 minutes are affected by scattered sunlight longward of 2800-2900A. I have made a preliminary correction for this in the LWP ascii files I am sending. We can talk about the details of this when ever you want. I would be careful about publishing these corrected spectra without additional analysis. The longer the wavelength the chancier the data quality and flux accuracy. I am very interested in seeing a comparison of the IUE and HST spectra to help refine the correction algorithm! If the Space Shuttle launches tomorrow (Thursday) then I will leave immediately for 7-8 days in Hanger AM at the beautiful Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida for ORFEUS instrument operations, so my response via e-mail may be slower than usual. George 4) From sonneborn%fornax.DECNET@cfa.HARVARD.EDU Sat Aug 14 18:41:45 1993 Subject: missing data Status: RO David, Thanks for the HST and optical spectrum from Alex. I just sent you all the IUE spectra you listed except LWP 25264, which I have not yet received from Vilspa. George
