The following are links to good Bayesian statistics sites that I've found useful. I havn't looked very hard.

Bayesian Statistics

  1. Bayes, Thomas (1702--1761) St. Andrews Mathematician Biographies.
  2. Efron, Brad Professor of statistics at Stanford and past president of the American Statistical Association (ASA). If his papers on the Bayesian-Frequentist statistics controversy are not authoritative, whose are? So a modern statistics guru.
  3. Jeffreys, Harold (1891--1989) St. Andrews Mathematician Biographies. No known relation by the way. He's spells his name differently, but before 1900 or so there probably wasn't much of a fixed spelling.
  4. Laplace, Pierre-Simon (1749--1827) St. Andrews Mathematician Biographies.
  5. Bayes's essay in the Philosophical Transaction of the Royal Society of London. But you have to buy articles.
  6. Wikipedia: Bayesian Probability The thing and the controversy with Frequentism.
  7. Wikipedia: Bayesian Inference : Seems trustworthy and well presented.
  8. Wikipedia: Bayes's Theorem : Seems trustworthy and one can download Bayes's An essay towards solving a Problem in the Doctrine of Chances (the Bayes's Theorem essay).
