  Journey to the edge of time: The GREAT mission
  ---GRavitational Echos Across Time (GREAT) mission is a space gravitational wave detector that is far, far down the road. It will study the gravitational wave signature of the big bang epoch and the inflationary epoch (if such exists): the CGB (cosmic gravitational wave background). It's sensitivity requirements are such that it will also pick all kinds of foreground objects. New technology is needed and one can't expect to see GREAT for 20 years or so I'd guess.
