This device has set points for the maximum current and instantaneous current through the diode.  The temperature of the diode and the base plate, which holds the diffraction grating, are also controlled.  The instantaneous current is displayed on one LCD display while the other display is used to monitor either the base or diode temperature.  This controller is currently being used in an atom trap experiment overseen by Dr. Shelton.
