Text: Class notes based on Atoms and Molecules
by M. Weissbluth (not in print) Academic Press.
Selected research papers and web material. Relevant material,
including Mathematica notebooks, will
be made available on this web page.
Course Policy on Grading: Class participation, homework assignments and Course research project.
We will also be using Mathematica 4.0 as a teaching aide (visualization) and as a possible tool to be used in course research projects. No text assigned for this purpose (the Wolfram book is available online), but numerous books, that describe Mathematica based physics problem solving, are available. Depending on student interest, a tutorial session will be made available. The following URL http://www.wolfram.com points to a site that lists a good collection.
