Crystal Carr, an REU student from Dine College (a Navajo college in Arizona), worked in the laboratory of Prof. David Shelton and in the laboratory of Prof. John Farley. She studied the formation of oxide layers in corrosion of steel by lead-bismuth eutectic in which the oxygen concentration was controlled.
