Everything I Need to Know in Life, I Learned From "Highlander"

written and compiled by K. E. Marx

~ If you don't chop its head off, the past will come back to haunt you, usually when it's most inconvienent.

~ Live, grow stronger.  Fight another day (year, century, etc.).

~ Just because something is pretty or innocent-looking doesn't mean it isn't hazardous to your health.

~ Age does not necessarily bring wisdom.

~ Never, ever go anywhere without your sword.

~ Always be sure to keep good beer stocked in the refrigerator.  You never know when an unexpected guest may drop by.

~ Decapitation is the surest way to kill anything.

~ You're never too old to try something new.

~ If you lose your head, it's over.

~ Be wary of people who's last name begins with a "K".

~ Long coats are always fashionable, even in summer.

~ Know who your friends are, but know your enemies better.

~ Immortality isn't about living forever, it's about what you do with the time you have.

~ It's good to be a myth.

~ The world doesn't change, not in 500 years, not in 5000.  Only the details change.

~ Everyone has secrets.

~ Avoid getting shot at.  Even if it doesn't kill you, it still hurts!

~ Always respect your elders.  They may be able to teach you something (even if you don't want to learn), and you'll miss them when they're gone.

~ If "old friends" show up out of the blue, they usually want something.

~ Invest in property insurance.  You don't know when or where a freak electrical storm will strike.

~ Learn dirty words in other languages.  Even if you don't use them, it will help to understand when someone insults you.

~ Dare to love.  Even if it doesn't last forever, it's worth it.
