The students's marks, averages per mark category, cumulative average,
and preliminary letter grade are shown below followed by some explanatory
tables. The students are listed in extended alphabetic order by their
aliases. Only students with aliases are listed.
Drops: A dropped mark is the negative of actual value, except that
ordinary dropped 0's are listed as -201 and special drops are -202.
Temporary drops for items that must be completed are -301.
Tables: There are two explanatory tables at the bottom of this file.
Table 1: This table shows the category of the markable items
in the 1st column, the weighting of the category in the
2nd column, the number of drops allowed for the category
in the 3rd column, the total number of items
in the category in the 4th column, and the maximum mark
for each item in the category in the 5th column.
All the items of a given category have the same weight
regardless of maximum mark.
Table 2: This table shows the class average, class
standard deviation, and class mean GPA.
Grade Calculation: For preliminary grades, the grading
scheme is:
Grade Lower Bound for Grade on Cumulative Average
A 90.
B 80.
C 70.
D 60.
F 0.
Your cumulative average is the weighted
average of the averages of each mark category.
At the end of the course, I use these preliminary
grades as a ***GUIDE*** in fixing the final grades.
