The
planes of satellite galaxies problem
which is that satellite galaxies
for the three large
galaxies
for which the can be detected so far
(the Milky Way,
the Andromeda Galaxy (M31),
and Centaurus A)
have a preferred
orbital plane
and this did NOT seem likely in
the Λ-CDM model
(see review by Pawlowski 2018).
However,
computer simulations
have now shown
that such planes of satellite galaxies
though uncommon should occur with a frequency of order a few percent
(Samuel et al. 2020).
So, unless observed
planes of satellite galaxies
prove to be much more common that a few percent, the
planes of satellite galaxies problem
has evaporated and does NOT provide evidence against the
the Λ-CDM model.
