2005 - WORLD YEAR OF PHYSICS

"The World Year of Physics 2005 plans to bring the excitement of physics to the public and inspire a new generation of scientists. Timed to coincide with the centennial celebration of Albert Einstein's "miraculous year," the World Year of Physics will be coming to YOU before you know it." (-from the AIP website)

We have started planning for a special SPS event for March 14th, 2005 (Einstein's birthday). More details will be posted soon...

News: SPS holds its second meeting in 2004
After six years of inactivity, SPS held its second meeting of the year on November 19th, with 16 students. We had pizza (thank you John!) and we discussed plans for a big project for 2005. We also learned some interesting things listening to our (first) guest speakers - Mr. Amo Sanchez and Mr. Jim Norton - thank you for taking time to talk to us!
